Title: iMBA Post by: Sherri on November 22, 2009, 05:59:32 PM Hi Stan, did you ever get the bug fixed for imba so we can access mba via internet
Sherri Title: Re: iMBA Post by: admin on November 27, 2009, 10:32:41 AM Yes, there is a new version of the development library coming out in mid December. The plan is to come out with a limited feature set at first and then add more in near future. You will have to have a high speed connection (Cable, DSL, etc.).

if you need a tester let me know sherri Title: Re: iMBA Post by: admin on November 29, 2009, 04:39:28 AM Yes, the main idea is to have it work with portable devices. Cell phones like Blackberry, iPhone or the new Androids. It will also work with small Netbooks and laptops (even ones running MAC or Linux).
In the beginning the idea is to have mostly lookup screens (find customer's balance for them or maybe lookup the exact product/size/shade they purchase a few campaigns back, or maybe lookup there address/phone number while your out an about). After that simple adding/editing of basic records. Add a Payment, change an Order, update their personal info like new cell number. Another cool option would be to have a special section for Helpers to enter their Orders (they would be in a separate table so you would check them first before adding to your regular Sales Order). Could save Reps a lot of typing and help reduce transcribing errors. Also Helper could do it any time of day without even having to talk to you. sherri Title: Re: iMBA Post by: admin on December 04, 2009, 11:46:52 PM I will have a simple Demo available before Christmas. It will be very simple but will be good for testing/proving the concept.
I will post here on Forums when it is ready to download and test. Cheers, Stan Title: Re: iMBA Post by: Sherri on January 02, 2010, 11:29:08 AM hey stan happy new year.. do you have the imba available for testing would love to try this ut on my blackberry bold 9700
sherri Title: Re: iMBA Post by: admin on January 03, 2010, 02:44:57 PM I have just downloaded and installed the latest version of the software needed. Looks pretty cool. I hope to have an application ready for first beta in next few weeks. Warning: the first beta will be fairly simple.

Sherri Title: Re: iMBA Post by: admin on February 04, 2010, 11:22:31 AM I am testing it now. I will have to have a new version of MBA first before I release it (so the two programs can work properly together). First version will be fairly simple, will just add more features with each version.
Cheers, Stan Title: Re: iMBA Post by: mybuddycheck on February 24, 2010, 02:46:48 AM I would also be interested in testing your new imba. I was looking for a feature that would allow importing of sales orders from a CSV or Excel format. Why so, is that I have a service that allows my customers to order products using voice, SMS, and email. It collect and stores all orders centrally but I was thinking of using a program like yours to manage the orders once collected.
Does your current or new version allow imports? Our service runs in the cloud so it is accessable via web service calls in a push pur pull manner. Title: Re: iMBA Post by: admin on February 25, 2010, 09:30:29 AM Currently MBA does not import Orders. How are the CSV files formatted?
The idea of MBA as web service is not for Customer Orders (except for Helpers), more for the Rep to access their data via web browser. My understanding is that Avon Reps are not allowed to have retail websites for Customer/Sales other than using Avon's site for that country. Cheers, Stan |
